LACMC Guest Artist Series presents Trio Obscura

As part of LA Chamber Music Company’s guest artist series, we are thrilled to introduce our guest artists in residence, TRIO OBSCURA. This eclectic trio was formed in the fall of 2018 with the intent of expanding works for bassoon, flute, and harp. The trio is comprised of flutist Christine Tavolacci, Bassoonist Jonathan Stehney, and Harpist Jillian Risigari-Gai Lopez. As a trio, they have performed works spanning from traditional origins to contemporary. Join us on August 29th at 11:30AM PST on YOU TUBE LIVE! featuring three of LA’s finest chamber musicians. LA Chamber Music Company's Fall Concert

We are thrilled at the success of our Inaugural Concert and thankful for all of the support we received.

We are excited to announce our second concert on November 9th at ArtShare LA where we will again be featuring some of Los Angeles' exceptionally talented musicians. Performed works include “Three White Landscapes” by Takashi Yoshimatsu, “Sextour Mixte” by Laurent LeFrancois, and “Serenade No. 2 in A, Op. 16” by Johannes Brahms.

Complimentary refreshments will be served following the concert.

A paid parking lot is available across the street from the venue, however free parking can be found on neighboring streets.

Through its individual programming and the generosity of our community, LA Chamber Music Company seeks to provide sustainable career opportunities and performances for its outstanding musicians.

We are excited to announce our inaugural concert on July 20th at ArtShare LA where we will be featuring some of Los Angeles' exceptionally talented freelance musicians.

Performed works include a short rhapsodic work for harp, piano, and strings by Ryan Glass, Maurice Ravel's Introduction and Allegro, concluding with Sibelius' Pelléas and Mélisande. The CSUN Gamer Symphony Orchestra hosts our annual Night of Video Game Music on Friday, April 27th at 7:30 PM. The event will take place in Nordhoff Hall 107, the Organ Room.

We will be performing music from Final Fantasy 6, NieR:Automata, Diddy Kong Racing, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Genso Suikoden: Tierkreis, and Super Mario 64.

The Harmony Chamber Orchestra and the New Hope Singers join to present a program of Sacred Spiritual Armenian Songs, Armenian Folk Music, and a few other classical selections! 

Reverend Serop Megerditchian, who was recently ministering in Syria during the most serious years of the war, will be present to share with the audience from his first-hand experiences in Syria. 

Funds raised by free-will donation will be sent to aid the care being provided to refugees by the Armenian Evangelical Church of Toronto and the First Armenian Evangelical Church in Montreal, Quebec.

The CSUN Youth Orchestras Invites you to our spring concerts! Our performaces are at 2PM & 5PM. Here's the lineup:

2PM Concert - Camerata Strings & Symphony Orchestra
Join us for the 25th year of the Camerata Strings under the direction of Kimberly Blake-Kilgore. 

Our Symphony Orchestra will feature works by Verdi, Saint Saens, Schubert, and Holst

5PM Concert - Philharmonic, featuring soloist Yuri Lim performing the first movement of the Bruch Violin Concerto in B Minor. 

Other works:
Beethoven's Symphony No. 5
Music From Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev, conducted by Talynn Kuyumjian.

BENEFIT CONCERT FOR ARMENIANS OF SYRIA. This benefit conert has been organized by CSUN music students, Oshagan Merjanian and Talynn Kuyumjian, to raise support for Armenian refugees in Syria. 

Come support Syrian refugees by listening to great music and supporting local arts! 

Featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert, Alan Hovhaness, and more. Come hear fantastic classical music for strings played by students from CSUN's music department! 

Guest speaker will share on the present situation in Syria before an offering is collected to be sent to the Armenian Church Western Diocese SYRIA Relieve Fund.
